The pilot project demonstrates how battery, condition, and usage data can be captured in a tamper-proof manner and uniquely attributed. These trusted data form a key foundation for digital battery and product passports in the context of the EU Battery Regulation.

The technological foundation is provided by PKI-free, decentralized digital identities, through which filancore eliminates the need for complex certificate infrastructures while increasing scalability, security, and digital sovereignty.
