In his keynote, Markus Soppa will explore how owner-centric identity technologies can break down silos, improve interoperability, ensure compliance, and lay the foundation for secure, future-proof IoT ecosystems.
He will explain how hyperconnectivity through the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), coupled with the growing interconnection of AI-driven processes, is transforming entire industries while also creating new challenges, such as fragmented data silos, poor interoperability and limited user control over sensitive information.
He will point out how Decentralized Identities (DCI) address these issues by giving organizations and individuals control over when, how, and with whom data is shared. With DCI, trusted collaboration becomes simpler, autonomy is strengthened, and a solid foundation is built for regulations such as the Cyber Resilience Act and EU Data Protection rules.
